Hot and Claustrophobic Location, Jefri Nichol Experienced Stress During Filming 'Paradise Garden'

Kapanlagi.com - Jefri Nichol returns to acting in the latest Vidio Original Series Paradise Garden. In this latest project, Jefri co-stars with the beautiful and talented young actress, Vanesha Prescilla.

He also shared his memorable experiences during filming. In addition to the excitement of acting alongside Vanesha, one of the biggest challenges for Jefri Nichol was the hot weather in Bekasi where the filming took place.

"The most memorable experience in Paradise Garden is definitely filming with Vanesha and the other cast members," said Jefri Nichol during a virtual press conference on Wednesday (28/7).

"The biggest challenge was actually filming in Paradise Garden itself in the complex because it was really hot in Bekasi. Haha. I myself am from Bekasi so I know how hot Bekasi can be," he continued.

1. Feeling Stressed

Not only the hot weather, Jefri revealed that the house he used for shooting locations also contributed to his stress. In fact, he felt suffocated both in front of and behind the camera. 

"The house is quite compact, so it's difficult to move around and it really stresses me out. The heat from the shooting can enter the house during the shoot. So the stress continues off-camera and on-camera," said Jefri Nichol.

"There's one shooting story in the basement that I can't spoil, and it was quite stressful to shoot there because the basement is quite stuffy. So it also adds to the stress and the stress can be seen on-camera," he continued.

2. Satisfied with the Result

Nevertheless, Jefri Nichol felt happy during the shooting process of Paradise Garden because the relationship among the cast members was also close-knit. He was also very satisfied with the result. According to him, it feels like a series but with a film-like quality.

"But overall, we had a good time during the shooting. The cast members supported each other. If someone was feeling down, we would joke around to lighten the mood during the shoot. There were no dramas during the shoot, so it was fun. I'm satisfied when I saw the trailer. I thought it would be like a series, but it turned out to be more like a film," concluded Jefri Nichol.

The series Paradise Garden which is an adaptation of the Wattpad novel by Khojina, tells the story of Vya (Vanesha Prescilla) and Andra (Jefri Nichol) who mysteriously lose their sibling in the Paradise Garden housing complex. Andra and Vya's investigation to find their sibling leads them to a case of organ trafficking involving homeless people. 'Paradise Garden' is exclusively available on Vidio starting from July 29, 2021.
