The defendant in the drug trafficking case, Ammar Zoni, could not hold back tears as he embraced his younger brother, Aditya Zoni, in the Central Jakarta District Court room on Thursday (18/12/2025). The touching moment occurred after the trial and drew attention because Ammar conveyed an emotional message to his brother, Aditya, and Panji Zoni.

In the embrace, Ammar asked Aditya to meet his children and convey his apologies. "Please meet my children. Forgive me," said Ammar Zoni.

Ammar also sent a message for his younger sibling to continue giving attention to his girlfriend, Doctor Kamelia, while he undergoes legal proceedings. "Help the doctor, meet her. She's the only one representing me now," said Ammar. "I'm not guilty, that's the point," he added.

Aditya Zoni was seen trying to calm and encourage his brother during this difficult situation. "Bismillah, stay strong, Bang. We're here for you," said Aditya.

Meanwhile, in the case that ensnared him, Ammar Zoni along with five other defendants Asep bin Sarikin, Ardian Prasetyo bin Arie Ardih, Andi Muallim, Ade Chandra Maulana, and Muhammad Rivaldi were charged with involvement in the distribution of narcotics including methamphetamine, marijuana, and ecstasy.

The Public Prosecutor stated that Ammar received 100 grams of meth from someone named Andre, who is on the wanted list (DPO) as of December 2024, with 50 grams of it handed over to Muhammad Rivaldi to be distributed within the detention center.

For his actions, Ammar and the other defendants were charged with multiple counts. The main charge is Article 114 Paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 132 Paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, as well as the alternative charge of Article 112 Paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 132 Paragraph (1) of the same law.

"Without rights or unlawfully possessing, storing, controlling, or providing narcotics of group I that are not plants with a weight exceeding 5 grams," said the prosecutor.

Today's court agenda focuses on examining the testimonies of witnesses presented by the Public Prosecutor (JPU). Ammar appears to be following the legal proceedings closely alongside his legal team.Â
