Artist Catherine Wilson cancels becoming the widow of Idham Mase and their status remains as husband and wife. This is because the court has rejected the divorce application submitted by Idham to the South Jakarta Religious Court.
"Yes, the court has rejected the divorce application from the applicant, Idham Masse, against the respondent, Catherine," said Taslimah, the spokesperson for the South Jakarta Religious Court, at their office on Monday (13/11/2023).
Indeed, since the beginning of the divorce petition hearing, the plaintiff, Idham, has never attended the trial. That is the reason why the court dismissed the divorce petition.
"Because the petitioner never appeared in two trial sessions. Therefore, on November 6, 2023, the court directly decided to dismiss the petitioner's divorce petition," said Taslimah.
The court has also sent a copy of the verdict to Idham so that he knows that his divorce trial with the woman known as Keket has been dismissed.
"The court has sent the verdict. The court has given the petitioner 14 days," Taslimah revealed.
Taslimah said that in the future, Idham can still file for divorce from Keket. However, not with the reason of divorce from the old documents. "It is possible, but with a new lawsuit and new reasons," she concluded.
Catherine Wilson married Idham Mase on October 1, 2022. However, their marriage faced a test in the form of separation rumors within one year of marriage.
Idham Mase is a politician who is currently a member of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) in Sidrap, South Sulawesi. He also holds an important position in the Golkar political party.
An interesting fact is that Idham Mase is the ex-husband of Shinta Bachir. He proposed to Shinta Bachir in 2018, but their relationship ended a few days after the engagement.
