IG Account Hacked, Ahmad Dhani: Meta's Security System Should Be Questioned

Kapanlagi.com - Ahmad Dhani's personal Instagram account is experiencing issues again. After going missing and just being accessible again, the account with the username @ahmaddhaniofficial has now been hacked by irresponsible individuals.

Shortly after his account was hacked and turned into a platform for selling mobile phones and precious metals, Ahmad Dhani released an official statement. In the release received by KapanLagi.com on Wednesday, (6/5) this morning, Dhani stated that the hacking of his Instagram account is a serious failure in digital security systems.

"Ahmad Dhani's Official Statement. The hacking incident of the verified official account on the Meta platform is a serious failure in digital security systems that cannot be taken lightly," Dhani wrote in his statement.

"How can an account with verified status, which should receive maximum protection, be hacked, even with the two-step verification system that has been claimed as the main layer of security? This fact clearly shows that Meta's security system is fundamentally questionable," he continued.

2. Loud Alarm

Dhani also stated that the hacking of his personal Instagram account is a loud alarm for digital security systems. He mentioned three points that Meta, as the owner of the Instagram platform, should pay attention to.

"This is not just an ordinary incident, but a loud alarm that:
1. Meta's security system has real vulnerabilities, even for accounts with the highest protection level.
2. Two-step verification has proven to no longer be considered a guarantee of security, not only on Meta but also potentially on various other platforms.
3. This threat is universal—no one is truly safe. If verified accounts can be hacked, then anyone's account, including those of high-ranking officials, is at the same risk," Dhani wrote.

3. Dhani Urges Meta

In closing his statement, Dhani urged Meta to explain and take responsibility openly for the hacking incident he experienced. Dhani also requested an explanation from cybersecurity experts regarding this case of his personal account.

"We urge for an open explanation from cybersecurity experts and full accountability from Meta for the weaknesses in the system they have built," said Dhani.

"If incidents like this are allowed to go on without transparency and real improvements, then public trust in the security of digital platforms will collapse on its own. This is no longer just a technical issue; it is a crisis of trust," he concluded.

4. Account Still Hacked

As of this news being published, Ahmad Dhani's Instagram account is still in the hands of hackers. Posts selling mobile phones and precious metals are still appearing.

The first post was observed to appear at 08:20 AM WIB this morning. After that, the hackers uploaded a total of 7 posts and they changed the link in Ahmad Dhani's bio to a fraudulent selling platform.
