Important Witnesses Unable to Attend, Vanessa Angel's Trial Must Be Postponed

Kapanlagi.com - Vanessa Angel seems to have to wait for the trial verdict again after two witnesses presented by the Public Prosecutor (JPU) did not attend the trial. The two witnesses are Abdul Malik and Dr. Maxwadi Maas.

In the trial held at the South Jakarta District Court on Monday (21/9/2020), the judge refused to read the testimony of witnesses virtually. Therefore, the trial was postponed until September 28, 2020. 

1. Vanessa Angel Disappointed

Undergoing a quite long trial, Vanessa Angel feels disappointed. This was directly conveyed by her legal counsel, Arjana Bagaskara. 

"Yes, because we have been waiting for those two witnesses for a long time. Vanessa herself also told me why the trial took so long, about 7 months, while in other cases related to psychotropic substances, it's very fast. But why is the process for Vanessa's case so long until the verdict?" said Arjana Bagaskara after the trial at the Jakarta State Court on Monday (21/9/2020). 

2. Crying

Feeling disappointed and having to wait again made Vanessa Angel sad. Her legal counsel said that when they met after the trial, Bibi Ardiansyah's wife shed tears. 

"Earlier, when I was talking to Vanessa in the car, she also shed tears. The burden she is currently experiencing," he said. 

"Yes, her depression is related to previous events, where she has a troubled family background. Then she went to that doctor, and based on the diagnosis, he prescribed Xanax and suddenly it became a case like this," Arjana concluded.
