Indah Permatasari Admits to Being a Victim of Sexual Abuse as a Child

Indah admits to being very happy when the offer came to join the closing film of the DEAR NATHAN trilogy. Because she has experienced being a victim of abuse when she was still a child.

"When I was offered the casting, I immediately wanted to because I really liked the background story about sexual abuse. I have experienced it when I was young, so I really connect with the character of Zanna," said Indah when met at Epicentrum XXI, Rasuna Said area, South Jakarta, on Thursday (6/1/2022).

Not only Indah Permatasari has experienced sexual harassment, but also people around her have experienced such painful things. That emotion is what Indah portrays in her acting in Kuntz Agus' film.

"This issue is also very close to me. Many female friends have confided, told stories about their experiences of being harassed and violated. I have also experienced it myself when I was young, so I know how it feels to be violated, how we can't speak up, how the environment covers it up. I try to transfer that effect well," said the wife of Arie Kriting.

DEAR NATHAN: THANK YOU SALMA tells the story of Nathan and Salma's strained relationship. In that situation, Salma is approached by a poet with a golden voice. Meanwhile, Nathan is confronted with a case of sexual harassment that befalls Zanna, his college friend.

This film will be released in cinemas throughout Indonesia starting from January 13, 2022. Starring Jefri Nichol, Amanda Rawles, Susan Sameh, as well as three new characters played by Indah Permatasari, Ardhito Pramono, and Sani Fahreza.

According to Indah Permatasari, her weight has actually increased compared to before. This was confirmed by Arie Kriting.

"Actually, it's increased now," said the woman born in Makassar. "It's even increased by two kilograms," added Arie in the same place.

Furthermore, Indah Permatasari doesn't want to be bothered by the comments from netizens that are buzzing on her Instagram. What's important is that she is happy and feels that her body is fine.
