Inheritance House Name Change Tax Protest, Leony Vitria: Just Feels Unfair!

Through a post on her social media, Leony questioned the amount of the Land and Building Acquisition Duty (BPHTB) that she had to pay. For her, the fee felt strange because the process she undertook was not a sale transaction, but rather an inheritance from parent to child.

"Well, I just feel, this is just my personal logic, it feels unfair. Because that house is basically the same, you know," he said when met in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta, Friday (12/10/2025).

Furthermore, this member of Trio Kwek-Kwek feels that the same property object seems to be taxed multiple times just because of the name transfer administrative process.

"This one object, but it gets taxed multiple times like that, just because of the name transfer issue," he added.

He emphasized that this process is purely inheritance within the same family, even still within one Family Card (KK), not a commercial transaction that generates profit.

"We haven't talked about selling yet. We're just talking about changing the name from what's on one family card, a direct descendant, from Dad to me," Leony explained.

Although feeling reluctant, the 38-year-old actress realizes that as a citizen, she still has to fulfill her obligations. However, she cannot hide her annoyance.
