"Why did I accept this offer? When I was offered, I felt like the chosen one. Indeed, I am also focused on humanitarian movements. Well, the breast cancer awareness event has become one of my priorities," said Ivan Gunawan at Plaza Indonesia, Thamrin, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (24/9/2025).

Igun's dedication to this event also stems from his gratitude to the women who have been pillars in his career journey. One of the most important figures is none other than his mother, Erna Gunawan. For him, refusing a request to support women is the same as denying his journey all this time.

"If there are women asking me to join such a wonderful event, it cannot be refused. Because all this time, I have also worked for women, one of them being my mother," he said sincerely.

The highlight of his presentation will be an extraordinary fashion show. Not professional models, but fighters and breast cancer survivors who will walk gracefully on the catwalk. They will present 16 latest collections specially designed by Igun.

"There will be 16 new collections there, talking about harmony, hope, and beauty. These collections can be found in my store. There are collections for those who wear hijabs as well," concluded Ivan Gunawan.

In the midst of his enthusiasm to support women, Igun also shared an important reminder that is often overlooked. He highlighted that breast cancer does not only threaten women but can also affect men. Openly, he admitted to having the same concern.

"I also check my breasts when I shower because of obesity. Yes, there is concern, because men can get it too, right? So it is really important to be aware of ourselves," he explained.
