Jeremy Thomas' Face 'Makeover' Costing Hundreds of Millions of Rupiah in the Film 'MENGEJAR SURGA'

Although he did not want to mention the name of the character he played in Bambang Drias's film, Jeremy Thomas shared a story about the character he played.

"In Mengejar Surga, I play a father who leaves his family for more than 25 years. A man of Dutch descent, his name is funny, if I mention it now, it won't be a surprise," said Jeremy Thomas when met in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (18/5/2022).

"This man left home and he has burns on his face, the codet or something like that said," added Jeremy Thomas.

1. Prosthetics

To support his role as a burn victim, Jeremy Thomas used prosthetics. Prosthetics are devices that are attached to the face, head, scalp, or mouth to restore the shape and function of missing or imperfect body parts.

“If the face uses prosthetics and there is someone who makes it, one of the best (who makes face prosthetics),” continued Jeremy Thomas.

2. Spending Hundreds of Millions of Rupiah

For the making of this prosthetic face, there is a special cost prepared by the production house. Not playing around, for the film, hundreds of millions of rupiah were spent to make this prosthetic face.

“If the cost, if I'm not mistaken, the producer said it was up to hundreds of millions, and it (the prosthetic) is for one-time use. And it takes five hours of preparation,” said Jeremy Thomas.

3. Acting Opposite Al Ghazali

In this film, Jeremy Thomas also acted opposite Al Ghazali. Al took this opportunity to learn from Jeremy Thomas.

“I'm so happy to be in a movie with Om Jeremy. This is our second movie together that is intense. This (Jeremy Thomas) can be said to be a mentor,” said Al.
