Jerome Polin Completes Tokyo Marathon 2026 with Angga Yunanda

Jerome Polin participated in the prestigious Tokyo Marathon 2026 held on Sunday, March 1, 2026, in Japan. He competed in the Full Marathon category covering 42.195 kilometers alongside Angga Yunanda and Erika Richardo.

This marked their first experience attempting a full marathon after regular training since November. All three successfully reached the finish line and brought home medals as proof of their efforts.

For Jerome, the first experience of conquering the distance of 42.195 km felt special because he finally proved the consistency of his training for months.

Preparation was taken seriously since the end of 2025. Jerome built endurance and pace gradually to be able to perform at his best in the Tokyo Marathon 2026.

Of the three, Angga Yunanda recorded the fastest time of 5 hours 32 minutes 32 seconds. Jerome Polin completed his run in 5 hours 46 minutes 8 seconds. Just 28 seconds apart, Erika Richardo managed to finish with a time of 5 hours 46 minutes 36 seconds.

Jerome admitted that he almost gave up when cramps hit at kilometer 36. However, he persevered and tried to keep going as much as possible.

In the last two kilometers, Jerome felt he got an extra boost of energy to make a "last push" and successfully reached the finish line.

Jerome, who once thought running was boring, became addicted after completing his first full marathon. "So next, what running event should I join?? HAHHAHA," Jerome expressed.
