In the promotional poster material, Syifa's figure is placed between Rangga Azof and Haico Van Der Veken who play the main characters Sam and Cinta. The character Intan seems to be the third person in their relationship.

Because of this placement, Cut Syifa received negative comments from fans of the soap opera Samudra Cinta. Even though the character Intan is not actually the third person. But the arrangement of the poster material is intentional to provoke the curiosity of the audience.

"This is our promotional strategy, how to make the emergence of Syifa as a new character not just pass by. Our strategy is to put her in the middle. This will definitely raise questions. That's what we want to achieve," said Dani Sapawie, co-producer of SinemArt in a press conference via Zoom, Wednesday (1/7/2020).

Furthermore, Dani Sapawie said that there will be many surprises in the latest episode of Samudra Cinta, which airs every day starting from June 29th. In each episode, viewers will be confused and unable to guess the direction of the storyline.

"Samudra Cinta after the stop of covid will definitely be more interesting. This means that viewers will not be able to predict, every night there will be surprises, especially with the appearance of Cut Syifa. For the character Cinta, the conflicts will become sharper and more suffering. So, how is the relationship between Cinta and Samudra and Ariel? It will be more exciting, God willing, because it cannot be predicted. Viewers may think one thing, but it turns out to be different," he added.
