Jonathan Frizzy, also known as Ijonk, has officially been arrested by the police in a case involving the use of vape liquid containing the hard drug etomidate. The arrest took place in the Bintaro area, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta.
"He has been arrested, secured, and apprehended under that suspicion," said the Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi, when met at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters in South Jakarta on Monday (5/5/2025).
This case began with an investigation conducted by the Narcotics Unit of the Soekarno Hatta Airport Police in collaboration with Customs. During the process, a vape liquid containing the substance etomidate was found, which is a hard drug regulated under the Health Law.
From the development of the case, the police first secured three suspects with the initials BTR, ER, and EDS. After interrogation, they provided information leading to the name Jonathan Frizzy.
The police then summoned Jonathan Frizzy for questioning as a witness on April 17, 2025. However, when called for further questioning, management stated that the actor was hospitalized.
The arrest of Jonathan Frizzy took place on Sunday (May 4, 2025) afternoon. The police secured him in the Bintaro Akasia area, Pesanggrahan, around 5:00 PM WIB.
"He was arrested last night, yesterday afternoon. At 4 PM, it will be explained by Mr. Kapolres. It is true that a suspect has been determined and was arrested yesterday," said Ade Ary.
Previously, there were rumors that Jonathan Frizzy was arrested while at the hospital. However, this news was directly denied by the police."No, no, it was in Bintaro Akasia, Pesanggrahan at 5 PM," emphasized Ade Ary.
When asked whether Jonathan Frizzy was arrested alone or with others, Ade Ary could not provide further information."I need to confirm the answer again," he said.
