Karen Idol Refuses to Perform Autopsy on Her Daughter's Body, Family Wants the Case Investigated Thoroughly

However, Karen and her husband, Arya, agreed not to perform an autopsy on Zefi's body. They have signed a letter requested by the police regarding this matter.

"According to the doctor's statement, there are internal injuries. However, the family refuses to have an autopsy. Maybe they will only conduct an external examination. But as for autopsy, no, it's rejected. And that has been agreed upon by Karen and her husband," explained Wemmy Amanupunyo, Karen's uncle and lawyer, when met at the Fatmawati Hospital Funeral Home on Saturday (8/2).

1. Family Wants the Case to be Uncovered

Although Karen refuses an autopsy, Wemmy believes that this case cannot be left unresolved. Because there has been a death and it must be investigated by the police.

"As a legal person, I want this case to be uncovered. Why? Because there is already a victim, another death. So as a legal person, representing the family, representing my client, the case must be uncovered. We are not looking for who is at fault, no. But there is already a loss of life and it is reasonable to uncover this," he explained.

2. Karen Signs Letter Refusing Autopsy

Meanwhile, Karen has signed a statement stating that she does not want to undergo an autopsy. The police visited Karen at the hospital and met in the mourning room.

"Earlier, the police came and took photos because they needed the consent letter stating that no autopsy will be conducted. Currently, it is at the South Jakarta Police. (Arya) has already been questioned. The BAP has been conducted," she said.
