Kimberly Ryder Acknowledges Wanting to Return the Wedding Ring to Edward Akbar After Divorce

Kimberly Ryder speaks out about the fate of her wedding ring with Edward Akbar amid the divorce proceedings taking place at the Central Jakarta Religious Court (PA). Kimberly revealed that initially, she wanted to return the ring to Edward. Read more about it below!

However, as time went on, that plan changed. Kimberly explained that Edward had wanted to return her ring, but ultimately decided to keep it for himself.

"At first, when I was divorced, I wanted to return it to him (Edward's ring). He also wanted to return his ring to me, but after that, he took his own ring and said he wanted to keep it," said Kimberly Ryder after the hearing at the Religious Court (PA) in Central Jakarta, Wednesday (23/10/2024).

Kimberly herself confirmed that her wedding ring is still kept in a safe place. She chose to keep the valuable item even though she had intended to return it to Edward.   "So I just keep mine and I put it in a safe place," Kimberly said.

Now, Kimberly is considering giving the ring to her child. She thinks that the ring could become a legacy with sentimental value for her child. However, Kimberly admits she is still unsure about the final decision regarding the fate of the wedding ring.

"I don't know what to do with it, whether to give it to the kids or not, I'm not sure. It just seems like selling it wouldn't feel right, it's just strange," said Kimberly.

The divorce process between Kimberly and Edward is still ongoing at the Central Jakarta Religious Court. For your information, Kimberly officially filed for divorce from Edward Akbar on July 21, 2024. This lawsuit was registered at the Central Jakarta Religious Court (PA), and the process is still ongoing.
