"Still a foreign national," Kimberly replied when asked about her citizenship status, as reported from the Hot Shot broadcast published on the SCTV YouTube channel, Monday (28/7/2025).

The foreign national status held by Kimberly means that all her properties during the marriage are registered under her husband (Edward Akbar), not her.

Despite having lived and worked in Indonesia for a long time, her foreign national status prevents Kimberly from owning assets in her own name. As a result, Kimberly has to deal with many issues regarding asset division after the divorce.

The division of assets owned after the divorce between Kimberly Ryder and Edward Akbar, including cars, land, and a house located in Bali, is said to have been processed in South Jakarta.

"Regarding the 400 square meter house in Bali, it will be transferred to Kimberly's mother. The 200 square meters will remain with Mr. Edward," said Machi Ahmad, Kimberly Ryder's legal representative.

"So far, the peace points that were agreed upon yesterday at the South Jakarta Police have been formalized in a notarial deed to make it stronger and more legally binding and accountable," explained Machi Ahmad, Kimberly Ryder's legal representative.

Currently, Kimberly is also still considering whether to change her citizenship status to facilitate legal and administrative matters for her children and assets in the future.
