Behind her graceful appearance, actress Kirana Larasati actually harbors a fearless adventurous spirit. One of the extreme hobbies she is very passionate about is diving. For her, the underwater world offers tranquility as well as endless challenges.

However, this hobby is not without risks. Kirana recounts one of the most thrilling experiences of her life, which was when she came face to face with a crocodile while diving in the waters of Mexico.

"I encountered a crocodile in Mexico, yes," said Kirana Larasati when met in the Warung Jati Barat area, Mampang, South Jakarta, on Friday (7/11/2025).

Although trying to stay calm, she admitted that fear had enveloped her. In that critical moment, the first thing that crossed her mind was the face of her beloved son, Kyo. "I was definitely scared. Scared of being bitten. Scared of being bitten by a crocodile, scared of not being able to go home," she recalled.

A mother's instinct made her immediately think about getting back home safely for her child's sake. "When I saw that crocodile, the first thing that came to my mind was Kyo, my son. I thought, something shouldn't happen, I have to be able to go home," she continued.

Fortunately, the crocodile did not show any signs of aggression, and she was able to get through that tense moment without injury.

Diving alone has become an inseparable part of Kirana's life. She even refers to it as one of the best healing methods. "My healing is diving," she said.

For Kirana, diving is a never-ending learning process. There are always new levels and challenges that make her fall more in love with this activity.

"That's why I really love diving, because I'm always learning. There are always levels above me that I don't understand," she said.

Even after being prohibited from diving for two months due to a nose operation, she didn't take long to jump back into the sea. "Oh, it was just a two-month ban, I jumped back in right away," she concluded.
