Korea Indonesia Film Festival (KIFF) 2023 Presents 16 Best Films from Korea and Indonesia

Kapanlagi.com - Since its initiation in 2013, the Korea Indonesia Film Festival (KIFF) consistently presents the best films from Korea and Indonesia. It's hard to believe that KIFF is now celebrating its tenth anniversary and will return to greet film lovers this year.

The Korean Cultural Center (KCC) Indonesia, under the auspices of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Indonesia and CGV Cinemas, once again collaborate to promote cultural diversity and strengthen the bond between the two countries through films to the public.

Coinciding with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Korea, this year's Korea Indonesia Film Festival (KIFF) 2023 will be held in four cities, namely CGV Grand Indonesia (Jakarta), CGV 23 Paskal (Bandung), CGV Jwalk (Yogyakarta), CGV Marvell City (Surabaya) from October 20 to 22, 2023, presenting a series of interesting cinematic works to be anticipated.

From year to year, the Korea Indonesia Film Festival (KIFF) has successfully captured the attention of the public, accompanied by a high interest in Korean and Indonesian films, as well as support from the government, film institutions, and the film industry in the country.

After collaborating with Tissa Biani at last year's festival, the Korea Indonesia Film Festival (KIFF) 2023 has partnered with talented young actor Bryan Domani as the Festival Ambassador. Ketika Berhenti di Sini (When We Stop Here) is also one of Bryan's popular films that will be screened at this event.

2. Ticket Prices and Films Screened

To watch the films, the public can purchase tickets priced at only Rp15,000,- and can be bought online through the CGV application and website, as well as offline by visiting the CGV locations screening this festival.

A total of 16 film titles will be screened at CGV cinemas during the Korea Indonesia Film Festival (KIFF) 2023, namely:

3. Cobweb Premieres in Indonesia

Cobweb (Geomijip), directed by Kim Jee Woon, who was previously known for directing films I Saw the Devil, A Tale of Two Sisters, A Bittersweet Life, and other renowned titles, will be screened for the first time in Indonesia at the opening of the Korea Indonesia Film Festival (KIFF) 2023. It tells the story of intervention from censorship authorities and the complaints of actors on set experienced by director Kim during the shooting process of his film's ending in the 1970s.
