Latest Condition of Vadel Badjideh While in Detention, Becoming More Muscular

Family members have come to visit Vadel Badjideh, who is currently serving time at Cipinang Prison, East Jakarta, for the case of statutory rape and abortion of a minor. Vadel's siblings, Martin and Bintang, revealed the current condition of their brother, who has apparently undergone significant physical changes.

While in detention, Vadel is said to be much healthier than before. Martin explained that his brother does not show signs of excessive stress. In fact, Vadel has gained weight due to regularly exercising in his cell.

"Alhamdulillah Vadel is healthy, getting fatter, Alhamdulillah. The important thing is that Vadel is healthy," said Martin when met at Cipinang Prison, East Jakarta, Thursday (5/2/2026).

In addition to maintaining a healthy diet, Vadel also fills his days with productive activities. Although his range of movement is limited, he continues to strive to maintain his stamina and body shape.

Martin mentioned that his brother often does independent physical training in between his activities as a detainee.

"Yes, the change is more wise. We see him as more mature. Also, his body has changed a bit, he is a bit chubby. He is muscular too, maybe he works out inside, that's about it," Martin explained.

Star also added that Vadel's hair has now changed. Previously, he let his hair grow a bit long, but now Vadel appears with a neater haircut in accordance with the rules that apply in the detention center.

"It's short now. Because if it's short, it's always short, right? So there is... we don't know when the schedule is, just following the procedures that are in place," said Bintang.

The family expressed their gratitude seeing Vadel's condition remain stable both mentally and physically. The family's presence every week serves as the main source of encouragement for Vadel to stay strong in facing the ongoing legal process.

"Alhamdulillah, we visit Vadel every week," said Bintang.
