Lawyer Reveals Nikita Mirzani's Condition in Detention

Nikita Mirzani continues to pursue legal efforts through a Judicial Review (PK) regarding the case that ensnared her. In the midst of this process, her lawyer ensures that Nikita's condition remains good even though she is currently still in detention.

Nikita's lawyer, Usman Lawara, stated that his client is in good physical and mental health. According to him, Nikita is very eager for the PK process to proceed quickly so that various things considered strange in the previous ruling can be re-examined.

"Her condition is, thank God, healthy, she is fine, there are no problems. Therefore, she conveyed that the PK must be submitted immediately because she wants to express that there are many irregularities in that ruling that were never considered at the first level, the appeal level, let alone the cassation level, which essentially only considered that there were no violations or no errors in the application of the law," said Usman Lawara when met at the South Jakarta District Court on Wednesday (24/6/2024).

One of the focal points in the PK application is the allegation of Money Laundering (TPPU). Usman assesses that the legal construction used in the case does not align with the factual transactions that occurred.

It highlights the flow of funds from Reza Gladys, which is said to be related to the payment for Nikita's house. According to him, the transaction is recorded openly, making it difficult to categorize as an attempt to hide or disguise the origin of the money.

"How can one say that there is a written transaction record clearly showing payment for Nikita Mirzani's house, and interpret that as an attempt to disguise or hide the origin of the money?" he said.

"Where is the simple logic in that? If he wanted to commit money laundering, he wouldn't need to put his name there. He could just disguise it using someone else's name or a company name," he added.

Furthermore, Usman also clarified the circulating assumption regarding the presence of elements of violence in the case involving his client. He emphasized that what is being questioned in this case is the alleged threat of violence, not an actual act of violence that truly occurred.

"There is none. I said that he was accused of making threats of violence. Now, what kind of violence, what is the nature of the threat, you know," Usman explained.

With health conditions reported to be still excellent, Nikita is said to be ready to follow all legal processes that are still ongoing. The legal team also hopes that the panel of judges can reconsider several arguments presented in the PK application.

"Well, this also becomes a potential for the judge's own oversight, so we submitted it as one of the arguments in the PK application," Usman Lawara concluded.
