The Public Relations Officer of the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Joko Adiwibowo, revealed that on Monday, August 24, 2026, a person named Machi Ahmad approached the investigator to submit a power of attorney for legal assistance.

The presence of legal counsel opens the opportunity for resolving the case through peaceful means or mediation between both parties in dispute, although the final decision still depends on mutual agreement."Regarding mediation, there is certainly a chance for resolution, again between both parties," he stated.
Although the opportunity for mediation is open, the police emphasize that the investigation process for this case will continue according to the applicable legal procedures, regardless of whether or not peaceful efforts are made by both parties."From the police's perspective, the investigation process is still ongoing," he asserted.
Regarding the investigation materials that form the basis for determining Ruben Onsu's legal status, AKP Joko Adiwibowo is reluctant to disclose in detail the evidence that the police have gathered in this case."That is investigation material, it has certainly been fulfilled. It cannot be disclosed," he explained.
