This certainty was conveyed by his new legal counsel, Machi Ahmad, who mentioned that the team is preparing all necessary documents ahead of the scheduled date.
"The summons letter has been received, but we need to act quickly to prepare the documents requested by the South Jakarta Police investigation team," said Machi Ahmad when met at the South Jakarta Police on Monday (24/8).
After receiving the summons letter, the legal team immediately inventoried and prepared the documents requested by the investigators. As the newly appointed legal counsel, Machi ensured that coordination is ongoing intensively so that the examination agenda can be fulfilled without obstacles.

Ruben Onsu's examination as a suspect is scheduled to take place on August 28, 2026. In the lead-up to that date, the legal team is focusing on fulfilling the files and other administrative requirements requested by the investigators.
"It's scheduled for the 28th, yes, the 28th. But we will also focus on preparing the documents that were requested earlier," said Machi.
Machi stated that technical communication with the investigators will continue until the day of the examination. He emphasized the team's readiness to be present as scheduled and to follow the established examination process.

Machi emphasized that Ruben will not evade the legal process. The entire series of examinations will be followed according to regulations, including if there are further summons from the investigators.
"Mr. Ruben will certainly be cooperative later if summoned as a suspect," said Machi.
Machi's appointment as the new legal counsel is also followed by the preparation of a legal assistance strategy. He ensures that internal coordination is carried out so that each stage runs orderly and measured.
Outside of the examination agenda, the legal team is also establishing communication with the legal counsel of the reporting party. According to Machi, both parties are opening a dialogue space to find a mutually agreed solution.
"And we agree that in handling this case of Ruben Onsu, we prioritize tabayun, emphasizing persuasive methods," said Machi.
"And the legal counsel from the reporter also wants to resolve this without proceeding to the trial stage, if mediation can be conducted, there is a meeting point and resolution like that," he explained.
The option of mediation and the mechanism of restorative justice are among the steps being considered. "At least we don't want to, if it can still be resolved here through mediation with the restorative justice mechanism, why should it continue like that," said Machi Ahmad.
Although a peaceful resolution space is opened, the legal process is still respected. Ruben Onsu is scheduled to attend the investigator's summons on August 28, 2026, while communication with the reporting party continues to be built to find the best meeting point.
