Main Horror Film 'PENCARI MAYAT', Sarwendah Plays the Role of the Principal

Kapanlagi.com - Sarwendah once again showcases her acting skills by participating in the horror comedy film titled PENCARI MAYAT. This film is produced by HAHA Production and 786 Production, which brings a horror atmosphere with a touch of comedy.

The former wife of Ruben Onsu revealed that she was interested in joining this film because she wanted to try a new experience in the horror comedy genre. Previously, she had starred in several pure horror films, but this time she wanted to try something different.

"Because I think, I used to act in several films, and the horror was really horror. And I want to see what it feels like to act in a horror comedy film," said Sarwendah in the Tebet area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (11/2/2025).

"So it’s not too nerve-wracking, you can laugh too but there’s also tension. That’s why I took it," she added.

1. Sarwendah's First Time in the Horror Comedy Genre

Although she has acted in horror films before, this is Sarwendah's first time acting in a horror comedy film. She feels that this experience will be something interesting for her.

"This isn't my first horror film. The last one was horror, but this one is a horror comedy. This is my first time in a horror comedy," she said.

2. Shooting Full of Laughter

In the film PENCARI MAYAT, Sarwendah acts alongside several actors known as comedians or who have a background in comedy. She admits that the atmosphere on set is very enjoyable because it is always filled with laughter.

"We've been laughing the whole time. That's why I said I wanted to take this role because, first, the story is different in my opinion. And second, because I get to meet comedic people who definitely keep the laughter going on set," she said.

3. As the Principal

In the movie THE CORPSE HUNTER, Sarwendah plays the role of a principal. To delve into her character, she tries to recall her school experiences to build a principal character that fits.

"I happen to play the role of a principal. So later I will learn how to remember my school days, what my principal was like," said Sarwendah.

In addition to Sarwendah, this film also stars a lineup of renowned actors such as Dennis Adishwara, Iang Darmawan, Raisya Brazuca, Erick Estrada, Silvia Ully, Chika Waode, Kinaryosih, Yama Carlos, and Tyson Pangeran.
