Kapanlagi.com - MD Pictures production house has released the teaser trailer and poster for the film KKN DI DESA PENARI which has been highly anticipated. The horror film directed by Awi Suryadi is adapted from a spooky story thread on Simpleman's Twitter account that caused a sensation in mid-2019.
Producer Manoj Punjabi revealed that the film version will not be much different from the viral thread. Because the story written by Simpleman is already so strong and scary.
"The story by Simpleman is already very strong, MD Pictures rarely gets material with such a strong story. That's why we try our best to be faithful, when you see the film later, we stay loyal to the book. Stay loyal because the book is already interesting," said Manoj in a press conference at the MD Pictures office in Setiabudi, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (22/1/2020).

The actors and actresses who star in KKN DI DESA PENARI are carefully chosen. There is Tissa Biani as Nur, Adinda Thomas as Widya, Aghniny Haque as Ayu, Achmad Megantara as Bima, Calvin Jeremy as Anton, and Fajar Nugra as Wahyu.
"For the selection of MD players, we have a team, from the casting director and already filtered by the director. We seriously look at the character first, we don't look for players first, no! Because the character is the one looking for the player. We rarely make films for the players. Casting is a team work until we find the current cast team," Manoj emphasized.
Real snakes are brought into the film to accompany the actors and actresses in their scenes. Since Manoj Punjabi doesn't want to use CGI, the actors are given special training on how to interact with the snakes so that they are not wrapped around them.
"We don't use CGI. That's why we look for players who are brave enough to be with snakes. I insisted to the director that I didn't want CGI, it had to be real snakes," Manoj explained.
