Many Friends Affected by Disasters in NTT, Arie Kriting Enlivens Charity Concert - Asked to Do Impromptu Rap

Kapanlagi.com - Arie Kriting participated in a charity concert with friends from Suara Nusa Timur. The proceeds from the concert will be given to those affected by natural disasters in the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) province.

As is known, since April 4 various natural disasters have struck NTT, including strong winds, flash floods, and landslides. Although the disasters have passed, the long-term effects cannot be denied.

"Let's say that these disasters have passed, but the impact will continue to be felt by the community. The focus is on the damage to production tools because many people there depend on agriculture, animal husbandry, fisheries, and their tools are damaged. Not to mention that the land cannot be cultivated, livestock die, and boats are damaged," said Arie after the event in the Pejaten area, South Jakarta, on Saturday night (24/4/2021).

"From the information we have received, people who make a living from basic needs cannot work. The recovery will take six months. In this year, the community that depends on nature for their livelihoods really needs assistance," he added.

1. Effective Cash Donations

In the charity concert enlivened by Ikke Nurjanah, Harvey Malaihollo, Obbie Messakh, Doddie Latuharhary, and Nowela Idol, a total of Rp 38 million was collected. The amount is expected to continue to increase to help alleviate the suffering of brothers and sisters in the province of East Nusa Tenggara.

"Last time, around 38 million has been collected. Maybe there are still other donations. Hopefully, it will be an added value and benefit for the community in NTT. So far, based on information, cash assistance is the most effective because it can be converted into any form, for example, they need building materials, clothes," explained Arie, who acted as the MC but was asked to freestyle rap.

2. Many Friends Affected

Furthermore, Arie Kriting mentioned that many of his friends were affected by the disaster. However, the husband of Indah Permatasari expressed gratitude that the disaster did not claim the lives of people he knew.

"There are many friends there. Some are assigned to Malaka, Sumba, surely many of their houses were damaged. As for casualties, thank God, there were none," concluded Arie.
