"Yes, people, if for instance they are judged by the press, it can be very sad. Especially trial by social media. Because it is one-sided, unilateral," said Alvon when met in the area of Jalan Kapten Tendean, Mampang, South Jakarta, on Sunday (20/5/2025).
Paula's attorney believes that this situation is worsened by the emergence of comments from parties who do not fully understand the issues faced by their client.
"Especially if this is judged. Judged by people who do not know the issues... Now when they do not understand anything, then they conclude something," he continued.
According to him, this social pressure has a significant impact on Paula as an individual and as a mother, especially since her child is still young and in a vulnerable psychological condition.
"The most important thing is that they have a family... Do they have children, especially since the child is still small? They are still vulnerable, very vulnerable," said Alvon.
He regrets if there are clear statements that actually worsen the situation and have the potential to cause broader psychological impacts for Paula's family.
"That is why it is very unfortunate if there are such clear statements. That should also be a violation of the code of ethics," he emphasized.
Alvon hopes the public can be more wise in responding to the information circulating and consider its impact on the children indirectly involved.
"Because actually those children are the sprouts of the nation for the future... even in the future we don't know what the consequences will be when they hear negative things related to their parents," she concluded.
She also ensured that Paula is still fighting to stay strong, even though the mental pressure she is experiencing is very great.
