Mentioning the Indonesian Doctors Association as a WHO Puppet, Jerinx SID Summoned by the Police

The story goes that in one of his Instagram Stories posts, Jerinx referred to the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) and hospitals as puppets of the World Health Organization (WHO). One person from IDI felt that Jerinx's statement had crossed the line and reported it to the Bali Police.

"Because they are proud to be WHO's puppet, IDI and hospitals arbitrarily require everyone who is going to give birth to take a Covid-19 test," wrote Jerinx SID in his Instagram Stories post on June 13, 2020.

The Head of the Bali Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Police Commissioner Yuliar Kus Nugroho, confirmed that there has been a report regarding Jerinx's statement. The man, whose real name is I Gede Ari Atisna, is scheduled to undergo questioning on Thursday (6/8).

"Yes, it's true. He was reported for defamation and hate speech on social media," he said at the Bali Police Headquarters on Wednesday (7/8/2020) as quoted from Liputan6.com.

2. Called But Unable to Attend

Jerinx was previously called to undergo questioning but was unable to attend. He is planned to be called as a witness before this case is further processed. Meanwhile, the complainant, IDI, has already been questioned.

"During the first call, he was unable to attend. He said he was busy. He has been given another summons and for now, he will be a witness. IDI has already been questioned," said Commissioner Yuliar.

3. Violations Committed by Jerinx

According to the Head of Public Relations of the Bali Regional Police, as a result of his post, JRX was reported to the Bali Regional Police on June 16, 2020. JRX is suspected of violating Article 28 Paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 45A Paragraph (2) and/or Article 27 Paragraph (3) in conjunction with Article 45 Paragraph (3) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions.

"So there is a sentence, because of the sentence that the IDI and hospitals become the lackey of WHO," he concluded.
