MLI Representative Says Coki Pardede Had Asked for and Is Currently in the Process of Rehabilitation Before Being Arrested by the Police

Kapanlagi.com - Once again, the entertainment industry in the country was shocked by the arrest of Coki Pardede for drug abuse. He was arrested at his residence in Pagedanan, Tangerang on Tuesday afternoon, September 1, 2021.

During the arrest, the comedy duo partner of Tretan Muslim was with a friend named Welly. Methamphetamine and injection tools were found during the arrest.

Luigi, as a representative of the management of the Indonesian Funny Assembly (MLI), revealed to Kapanlagi.com over the phone on Friday, September 3, that Coki Pardede had already stopped using the illegal substance. In fact, Coki Pardede asked the management that oversees him to send him to rehabilitation.

"On behalf of the management, Coki had already stopped, he only started using (meth) in the last eight months, and we didn't know, we only found out after he asked for rehabilitation," said Luigi.

Luigi also mentioned that the process of Coki Pardede's drug addiction recovery is underway, and there is even a psychiatrist to assist him. However, because they cannot monitor Coki for 24 hours, the MLI management admits that this may also be their mistake.

"The rehab is ongoing, we follow the procedure, there are medications, psychiatrists, and Coki is currently undergoing the healing process," he said.

"But we cannot supervise Coki for 24 hours, so maybe this is also our mistake as the management. When Coki was about to undergo the rehab process, he already had too many commitments, so we couldn't focus (on supervision) too much. It is indeed our mistake as the management, and we apologize," he continued.

2. Following Legal Process

Furthermore, Luigi also stated that they will follow the applicable legal process from the police. Luigi also confirmed the evidence found during Coki Pardede's arrest.

"We were caught off guard by Coki using it, he was arrested at around 5:15 PM at his house, and we only found out later in the evening. We handed him over legally according to the ongoing process, maybe he can undergo rehab, and we will continue to monitor and coordinate with the authorities for further process. Yes, one clip of methamphetamine weighing 0.5 grams and a syringe," he concluded.

After being apprehended on Foresta Raya Street, Pagedangan, Tangerang, Banten on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 evening, Coki underwent further examination at the Tangerang Kota Police Station.
