New Era of JKT48 After Graduating 26 Members, Release Dark-themed Single - No Team Classification!

Kapanlagi.com - JKT48 has just released their latest single titled Cara Ceroboh Untuk Mencinta (Reckless Way to Love). This release marks a new era for the idol group after being affected by the pandemic.

As known, the ban on gathering has made it difficult for JKT48 to carry out their activities as usual. In order to prevent disbandment, they had to undergo restructuring by graduating 26 members and reducing staff.

"This is JKT48's latest single after going through restructuring yesterday. The current condition is indeed difficult, but we want to prove that we will not give up, continue to fight, and still be able to be a motivation and inspiration for Indonesia," said Melody, the General Manager of JKT48, via virtual conference on Tuesday (16/3/2021).

1. Striking Differences in the Latest Single

What makes this 22nd single of JKT48 different from the previous ones is the atmosphere of the music video and the dance movements. Usually, it tends to be bright and colorful with cheerful movements, but now it becomes dark and focuses on hand movements.

"Usually, our music videos are always bright and cheerful, but this time it's darker in terms of color selection," said Gracia JKT48.

2. No More Grouping

Aside from the concept of color and dance movements, in the new era of JKT48, there are no longer members divided by grouping into teams. Now, the remaining 33 members are a unity of the idol group.

"Earlier, we had Team J, Team KIII, and Team T, but now it's abolished. Hopefully, this new era of JKT48 can be stronger and better with the remaining 33 members," said Melody.

3. Productive during the Pandemic

JKT48 returns with new works in the midst of the pandemic, proving that the Covid-19 outbreak does not hinder productivity.
