New Facts Revealed, Nirina Zubir's Sister Says Deed of Ownership of Late Mother's Land Has Been Missing Since 2015

Kapanlagi.com - The case of the land mafia family of Nirina Zubir is still ongoing. In this hearing, Fadlan Karim, the brother of Nirina Zubir, gave his testimony.

In the trial of the alleged land certificate embezzlement case with the defendant being their former housemaid. Fadlan said that the land certificate belonging to their deceased mother had been missing from their house since 2015.

"As far as I know, my sister who lived in Malang was the one who handled the certificate. So, she put the certificate in a suitcase that was placed in my mother's room," said Fadlan Karim, in the West Jakarta District Court, Tuesday (17/5).

"My sister said, 'Mom, hold on to this, these are important documents. Because I'm following my husband.' Mom said, when she checked the suitcase in 2015, the suitcase was there, but the contents were missing," he continued.

Fadlan also said that their deceased mother had trusted their former housemaid, Riri Kasmita, very much. Even Riri apparently had access to their deceased mother's rented properties.

"My mother trusted (Riri) very much. So, Riri had a key to the house because she was asked to take care of the rented properties," he concluded.

2. Witnessing the Trial

Fadhlan, Nirina Zubir, and Rizqullah Ramadhan came as witnesses from the prosecutor's side. In the trial, five suspects were also present, including Nirina's mother's assistant and her husband, Riri and Endrianto, as well as three notaries, including Faridah.

Riri is also suspected of embezzling six land certificates belonging to Nirina's mother. The loss suffered amounted to IDR 17 billion.

On the other hand, the defendant Riri Khasmita denied working as a household assistant (ART) at the home of Nirina Zubir's mother, the late Cut Indria Marzuki. This denial was given when the panel of judges asked for her response to the testimony of Nirina's brother, Fadhlan Karim, in the trial of the land mafia case.

In her confession, Riri Khasmita claimed that she had never been paid by Nirina Zubir's mother. She explained that she was only trusted to take care of the late woman's rented rooms during her lifetime.

"No, Your Honor, I never worked there. I also paid every month," said Riri Khasmita.

Riri Khasmita also expressed disappointment. She felt that Nirina Zubir did not tell the truth in her testimony during the trial.

4. Holding All the Rent Money

After giving her testimony, Nirina also responded to what Riri Khasmita had said. Nirina said that Riri not only received facilities, but she also held all the rent and lease money belonging to Nirina Zubir's deceased mother.

"That's their rebuttal. So, where else in Indonesia do you live in a four-room house, one of which is specifically for her cat, one for the couple with AC, with all unlimited electricity, one for her sister Nabila, and one for her ironing room," said Nirina.

"And she holds all the lease money," she added.

5. To Be Proven in Court

When asked further, Nirina was confused about Riri Khasmita's motivation for saying that she did not tell the truth. For her, let the trial prove all the truth related to this land mafia case.

"I don't want to speak for them, let the trial prove all of this and our big hope is that the truth will be revealed on its own with this trial," Nirina Zubir concluded.
