Nia Ramadhani Opens Up About the Reasons for Using Meth, Feeling Depressed and Keeping Sadness to Herself

Kapanlagi.com - Today, Thursday (12/16), Nia Ramadhani and Ardi Bakrie attended another hearing related to the drug abuse case at the Central Jakarta District Court.

In the hearing, Nia finally revealed the reasons for her drug use. Feeling depressed about her father's passing, that's why Nia Ramadhani used the illicit substance.

"In early 2014, my father passed away, and from that moment I met him three years ago until he passed away. Since April, I haven't told anyone, I really lost myself," Nia Ramadhani said.

1. Share with a Friend

After that, Nia finally tried to share her sadness with her friends. However, she felt that she received a negative response.

"I told my friend that I was sad and down. I received a response from my friend, 'Nia, it's embarrassing if you're sad, there are many things to be grateful for because many people want to be in your position. You have children, a husband, and live in a respected family,'" said Nia Ramadhani.

2. Feeling Cornered

Nia Ramadhani then felt hurt by her friend's words. She felt like no one understood her. Because of that, Nia remembered the words of a friend who had offered her drugs.

"I feel like being Nia is a curse. Then someone influenced me, a friend in 2006, saying that if we're tired, we become strong, if we're sad, we become happy (by using drugs)," she explained.

"Because I was emotionally weak, I was influenced by those words. So I searched for it, in April 2021 (I used it)," she continued.

3. Burying Sadness

In addition, Nia Ramadhani also admitted that she couldn't tell her husband about it. Therefore, this mother of three chose drugs as her outlet.

"In 2021, I was in so much pain and sadness that I felt suffocated. I wanted to tell someone but I couldn't. I couldn't tell my husband, so I kept it all to myself. It kept bothering me," she concluded.

4. Had Diarrhea

In a previous hearing, Nia Ramadhani and Ardi Bakrie were reprimanded by the judge for being late. Health issues were the reason why Nia and Ardi couldn't arrive on time.

"We, the prosecutors, apologize because the information from the legal advisor team stated that the defendants were in poor health, like having diarrhea, so a medical team was sent from the hospital to examine the defendants, and the medical team said that the hearing could proceed," the response from the Public Prosecutor's Office (JPU).

5. New Hairstyle

When attending their first hearing, Nia and Ardi looked compact wearing all-black outfits. They wore semi-formal outfits with plain shirts.

Not only their clothes were all-black, but Nia also managed to steal attention with her new hairstyle. Not only did it change to short, but also appeared with a new color choice.
