Kapanlagi.com - Artist Nikita Mirzani is back in session at the South Jakarta District Court on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, related to allegations of extortion and money laundering (TPPU). In the session, the panel of judges granted special permission for Nikita to attend the mediation process regarding the civil lawsuit for breach of contract against Reza Gladys.
"As stated in PERMA number 1 of 2016, regarding mediation procedures in court, Article 6 paragraph 1 states that the parties must attend the mediation forum accompanied by legal counsel," said the panel of judges to Nikita Mirzani in the courtroom.

The mediation process, which is planned to be held in person, is expected to serve as a peaceful path between both parties. This was explained by the judge as an effort to reach a fair meeting point for all parties involved in the dispute.
"With the presence of the principals, it is hoped that peace can be created among the parties, therefore we, the panel of judges, grant permission for the defendant to attend the mediation on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, starting at 09:00 until finished," he said.

Although granted permission to attend the mediation in person, Nikita remains under strict supervision by law enforcement officials. The judge emphasized that all security procedures must still be followed during the process.
"Based on the above approval, I order the public prosecutor to provide escort for Nikita Mirzani while the permission is being executed," he stated.

In addition, the judge also added that security should be provided by the prosecutor's office together with the police. This decision was made to ensure that the mediation proceeds smoothly and safely in accordance with court regulations.
"Granting permission to the defendant Nikita Mirzani to attend the mediation hearing. Ordering the public prosecutor with the assistance of police officers to provide escort. Approving this permission so that the hearing can be held promptly," added the panel of judges.

Previously, the mediation process was temporarily delayed because Nikita was still in the Pondok Bambu Correctional Institution (Lapas), East Jakarta. Her absence at that time made the process unable to proceed as it should.
Seeing this situation, Nikita's legal team requested that their client be allowed to attend the mediation process in person. This request was finally granted by the panel of judges in this subsequent hearing.

This mediation session marks the first meeting between Nikita and Reza Gladys since they reported each other to the authorities. In civil court, Nikita is suing Reza for Rp103 billion over alleged breach of contract in a business partnership.
Meanwhile, Reza had previously reported Nikita to the police for alleged extortion and money laundering. This case has become a legal conflict intertwining criminal reports and civil lawsuits.

In this court session, the panel of judges rejected the exception or objection raised by Nikita's legal team. Nikita responded to the rejection calmly and without explosive emotions. She even referred to it as something normal in legal proceedings.
"Every exception is generally under the authority of the prosecutor. And I heard clearly, it is the prosecutor who has the power," said Nikita after the hearing, Tuesday (8/7/2025).

Instead of showing disappointment, Nikita actually expressed her gratitude to law enforcement officials. She also prayed for the prosecutors who have been overseeing the case.
"Niki also always prays for the beautiful prosecutors, who always wear masks to cover their beauty. May they always be granted health, long life, and remain trustworthy in upholding justice," she explained.
