Prilly Latuconsina's latest appearance has recently captured attention. She has been seen more often presenting herself in a more mature and formal style, far from the cute image that used to stick to her.

Prilly dismissed the notion that she intentionally changed her image drastically. According to her, all of this happened naturally along with her increasing age, as she is soon to turn 29 years old.

"Not really, maybe it’s just because I’m getting older. I’m almost there, in a few months, I’ll be 29. The last year of feeling like a 20-something," Prilly said when met in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, on Thursday (24/7/2025).

In addition, her busyness outside of the acting world has also become one of the main factors. Now she is not only a professional actress, but she is also often invited to be a speaker at seminars that require her to dress more formally. Prilly explained that she is just trying to adjust her fashion style to her various activities.

"Well, I already have a lot, and I have other professions besides acting in films. Sometimes I get bored, and I also like to attend formal seminar events. So, I adjust my style accordingly," said Prilly.

So, does this mean she has plans to appear more established and mature? It turns out not at all. Prilly emphasizes that the change in her clothing style comes naturally without any prior planning.

"Maybe there’s actually no plan, no plan at all. It’s just that our taste in clothing changes as we get older," she explained.

In the end, it all comes back to the age factor that makes her more comfortable with clothing choices that differ from before. Prilly feels that her clothing choices automatically adjust with her increasing age.

"So as I get older, the clothes I choose also adjust accordingly," she said.

When asked about her favorite fashion item at the moment, she confidently mentioned blazers as her go-to. Prilly even admitted that she is currently actively collecting blazers in various colors to support her appearance.

"Today, since the theme is batik, we are wearing batik. And usually, I have been collecting a lot of blazers lately," she explained.

Her collection of blazers is not without reason. She intentionally gathers them to have many options for mixing and matching. Prilly admitted to choosing various colors of blazers so that it's easy to switch styles as needed. "So the blazers are chosen in all colors to make it easy to change," she said.

Prilly also compared her current fashion style with her past preference that was more casual and fun. In the past, she loved wearing crop tops, but now she feels less confident in that style. This is due to her activities now being more in the semi-formal realm.

"Maybe back then I liked wearing cute clothes like crop tops. But now I feel less confident wearing cute clothes like that. Maybe because I rarely attend casual events. Most of the time they are semi-formal, so a lot of my appearances have to be a bit more mature," concluded Prilly Latuconsina.
