The family of Vadel Badjideh, represented by his father and brother, Umar and Martin Badjideh, has officially reported Nikita Mirzani to the South Jakarta Metro Police. This report was filed as a reaction to the insults and defamation experienced by Vadel Badjideh.
Umar Badjideh, as the father, expressed his frustration towards Nikita's actions. "Yes, defamation from a makeup artist. Vadel is handsome, right?" he said in an annoyed tone after filing the report on Monday, (7/10/2024).
Not only defamation, but Vadel's family also feels hurt by various statements made by Nikita Mirzani that were spread through social media. This has become one of the reasons they are taking legal action.
Razman Arif Nasution, the attorney for the Badjideh family, emphasized that Nikita's most painful statement was the remark that cornered his client.
“It keeps being said, 'don't tell me your brain is wrapped in something,'” said Razman, revealing how deeply the words affected his client.
As supporting evidence in this report, Razman brought several pieces of evidence, including a flash drive, screenshots, and screen recordings. “We are confident our report is strong. That is why we are here,” he asserted.
Razman affirmed that he reported Nikita under the article of alleged defamation, and the charges could potentially increase. The threat of punishment under the reported article, if proven, is a maximum of 4 years in prison.
"One article, regarding 27 paragraph 3, defamation. Later, it may be seen in the development," explained Razman.
"For example, yesterday, Vadel when reported, how many articles? When called for clarification, the articles increased. So six articles. At that time perhaps, after being examined, the reporter found evidence, it increased. It will also be like this," concluded Razman.
