Atta Halilintar has returned to Indonesia after performing the hajj pilgrimage with his wife, Aurel Hermansyah. Unlike most other hajj pilgrims who return to the homeland with a bald head, the father of two children still maintains his long hair.
The 29-year-old man revealed his reason for not completely shaving his hair during the fifth pillar of Islam. Tahallul itself is the final part of a series of hajj rituals.
"Because Gus Miftah also has long hair," said Atta Halilintar at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Thursday (20/6/2024).
After asking Gus Miftah, Atta learned that tahallul does not have to shave his hair completely. That's why he didn't shave his hair.
"It's said to be Sunnah. We only fulfill the obligatory, tahallul is not necessarily shaving bald," added Atta.
Quoting the book Fiqh Ibadah by Ma'sum Anshori, tahallul is the state of someone who has been allowed to do things that were previously forbidden during ihram. The legality or exemption from this prohibition is marked by shaving or cutting the hair, at least three strands of hair.
Atta himself is grateful to be able to perform the hajj at his current age. The older brother of Thariq Halilintar hopes to be able to perform the fifth pillar of Islam again.
"Alhamdulillah, this is a blessing from Allah. Feeling blessed, feeling grateful for this extraordinary gift from our Lord. Hopefully, we will be called by Allah again," he concluded.
It is known that a number of artists and celebrities have shaved their hair as part of the tahalul ritual. They are Raffi Ahmad, Rezky Aditya, Fadil Jaidi, Tommy Kurniawan, and Arda Naff.
Now, Atta and Aurel can be called pak haji and bu hajjah. In the comments section, netizens pray for them to become haji who are accepted.
