Omnibus from Three Countries 'LOOK AT ME TOUCH ME KISS ME' Lifts Love Story Set in Pandemic

Kapanlagi.com - Filmmakers from three countries, namely Indonesia, South Korea, and Malaysia, come together in a film titled LOOK AT ME TOUCH ME KISS ME. This omnibus presentation features three short films that explore love stories set in the Covid-19 pandemic.

From Indonesia, there is a segment titled TOUCH ME directed by Djenar Maesa Ayu and produced by Vera Lasut. This film stars two Citra Award-winning actors, Sha Ine Febriyanti and Marthino Lio.

1. Shooting Only One Day

Vera Lasut as the producer said that the shooting process for TOUCH ME has taken place in March 2022. Interestingly, the filming was only done for one full day because at that time the situation was indeed a pandemic.

"The shooting process for each film is different depending on the regulations in each country. In Malaysia and Korea, if I'm not mistaken, it was in December 2021. In Indonesia itself, it was in March 2022 and the shooting was done for a full day because we were still under PPKM restrictions, so we couldn't make it too long," explained Vera when met in the Thamrin area, Central Jakarta, last week.

2. Love Makes Life

LOOK AT ME TOUCH ME KISS ME premiered at the Busan International Film Festival in 2022 and followed by the Jogja-Netpac Asian Film Festival in 2023. This film was streamed on Bioskop Online on February 19, 2024. Vera Lasut ensured that her new work could captivate the audience with the three stories presented.

"Every human being is not an individual creature, they are social creatures, the pandemic has had a tremendous impact on all of us, but we still need love. Because love is what makes us live, this film reflects how love can make us live," emphasized Vera Lasut.
