According to Budi Ace, Abdee Negara's brother, the guitarist of Slank has been receiving intensive treatment in the hospital since September 18, 2024, due to an autoimmune attack on his kidneys.

Budi revealed that Abdee previously underwent a kidney transplant in 2016. However, now the transplanted kidney is once again being attacked by an autoimmune disease known as IgA Nephropathy or IGAN, which has worsened Abdee's condition.

"Currently, autoimmune specialists and the medical team are observing his kidney tissue to find the right medication to protect the kidneys from autoimmune attacks," said Budi Ace when contacted by reporters.

After nearly a month of being hospitalized, Abdee received intensive care from the medical team focused on recovering his condition. This autoimmune disease has caused a decline in his kidney function, requiring Abdee to stay in the hospital longer to ensure his kidney condition is well maintained.

"The autoimmune attack has caused Abdee's condition to deteriorate, so he needs intensive care in the hospital while trying to fight the autoimmune disease," he said.
