SLANK guitarist, Abdee Negara, is still undergoing intensive treatment in the hospital due to IgA Nephropathy, a condition that affects the kidneys. According to his brother, Buddy Ace, Abdee had previously undergone kidney surgery in 2016 and is now experiencing an autoimmune attack that affects the transplanted kidney.
"The results of the observation show that the transplanted kidney from 9 years ago is now attacked by an autoimmune condition known medically as IgA Nephropathy," said Buddy Ace as reported by detikhot.
IgA Nephropathy is a disorder where IgA antibodies form in the kidney tissue, causing inflammation.
Family and colleagues, including other members of SLANK, are asking fans to pray for Abdee's recovery. They hope that Abdee will recover soon and be able to return to his activities.Â
On SLANK's Instagram account, there is a post to pray for the recovery of Abdee, the 55-year-old guitarist of SLANK.
"A Joint Prayer for the Recovery of Our Friend Abdee Negara. We ask for prayers from all friends/siblings for Abdee Negara, who is currently being treated in the hospital. A joint prayer every day at 19:00 in our respective places," the invitation reads.
