The thyroid condition that Indra Bruggman suffers from has also affected his facial appearance, making his eyes look more sunken. "Hyperthyroidism makes my body thinner because the fats in my body are completely depleted. This includes the facial area, the eye area. My eyes have become more sunken," said Indra Bruggman.
Before opting for plastic surgery, the star of the soap opera JINNY OH JINNY had tried various other methods, including the use of fillers in the eye area. However, the results were negligible and his eye condition worsened. "I have made several attempts, including fillers in the eye area, but they only lasted for 3 days out of the year that the filler was supposed to last and further aggravated his eye condition," Indra wrote in the caption of his post.
The doctors treating Indra Bruggman in Indonesia and Malaysia explained that the only way to restore his eye condition is through plastic surgery.
"(according to the doctor) My eye condition will not return to normal even if the thyroid levels stabilize, unless through plastic surgery. Despite feeling scared, I mustered the courage because this is the last step that must be taken," he wrote.
Even though his thyroid levels are stable, his eye condition will not return to its original state without that action. As a public figure, physical appearance is very important for Indra Bruggman in securing jobs and maintaining his career.
