Ozy Syahputra Says Song 'Antara Anyer dan Jakarta' Inspired by Late Oddie Agam's Personal Experience

Kapanlagi.com - Actor Ozy Syahputra apparently has a story with the late Oddie Agam that can be said to be very close since childhood. It turns out that Ozy Syahputra and the late Oddie still have a family relationship. They are cousins because their parents are siblings.

When met after the funeral procession of the late Oddie Agam, Ozy Syahputra revealed the story about his late cousin. Ozy Syahputra used to live together with him and of course, he knows how Oddie Agam's early career journey in the entertainment industry in Indonesia went.

"In the early days of his career, I was very involved. I was the makeup artist, hairstylist, and even his backing vocalist," said Ozy Syahputra when met at TPU Menteng Pulo, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (27/10) afternoon.

"If you look at Oddie's old cassette tapes, my name will surely be there," he added.

1. Personal Experience

According to him, many of Oddie Agam's songs are inspired by his own personal experiences. He mentioned one of them is the song Antara Anyer dan Jakarta which tells the story of his love life.

"There are so many memories. I know exactly the history behind each song, there must be his own story. For example, Antara Anyer dan Jakarta, I know exactly who the song was made for. But I can't reveal it. It really happened, just like that, for three days," he said.

2. Character of the Late Oddie Agam

When asked further if the song was made by Oddie Agam for Chintami Atmanegara, his ex-wife, Ozy denied it because at that time Oddie Agam didn't know Chintami yet.

In addition, for Ozy, Oddie Agam was a cheerful person and didn't want to show his sadness to himself or other family members. When he was going through a difficult time, Oddie Agam usually distanced himself. But when he was happy and had money, he would come and often share money with his cousins.

"He's like an older brother, when he gets an honorarium, he shares it equally among all of us. He's not stingy, he cares about us," he concluded.
