Pablo Benua Sad and Sympathetic to See Rey Utami Sick Because of Missing Her Child

Kapanlagi.com - It has been seven months since Pablo Benua and Rey Utami were detained at the Jakarta Metro Police detention center. This husband and wife were arrested after being reported by Fairuz A Rafiq, who felt offended by a video on their Youtube channel.

Because they are following legal procedures, Rey became sick because she couldn't meet her only child. This condition makes Pablo feel sad and sympathetic.

"I feel sad seeing my wife in this condition. If it was me in the detention center, if I was imprisoned for my own mistakes, I would be ready. With my wife in this condition, it affects our child, I feel sympathetic," said Pablo when met at the South Jakarta District Court on Monday (3/2/2020).

1. Want to Sleep with My Child

Rey Utami admitted that she misses her child very much. If allowed, she wants to meet and sleep while embracing her son, even if it's only for a short time and inside the detention center.

"We just follow the rules. But if I may request, I want to sleep with my child. Because the rules don't allow it, we can't sleep with our child in the detention center," Rey said, trying to be strong.

2. Postponed Hearing

This Monday, the trial for the Salted Fish case was held with the agenda of listening to witness testimonies. This is because there are 23 witnesses, so they have to be divided into several sessions of the trial.

Unfortunately, the hearing had to be postponed until next week (10/2/2020) because the witness from the plaintiff, Fairuz A Rafiq, couldn't attend. The Chief Judge requested the prosecutor to be firmer regarding the presence of this witness. If unable to attend, the judge has the authority to summon the witness forcibly to appear in the trial.

"Disappointed, right? Today was supposed to be the trial, but someone (the witness) didn't show up. What can we do, it means it's postponed to next week. I was going to request permission not to attend (due to illness), but it turns out the witness is the one who didn't show up," Rey concluded.
