A touching moment occurred when Paula Verhoeven visited the National Commission on Violence Against Women office on Wednesday (30/4/2025). Accompanied by her attorney, Paula reported allegations of domestic violence and discrimination she experienced while still in a marital relationship with Baim Wong. Commissioner of the National Commission on Violence Against Women, Sundari, stated that Paula appeared very emotional while presenting her complaint.

"So especially for Mrs. Paula who just came, it's extraordinary to see that Mrs. Paula is experiencing this, depression, so she also couldn't hold back her tears of sadness," said Sundari.

Although she didn't cry sobbingly, Paula still showed a deep expression of sadness in front of the Women's National Commission team. "Even though she wasn't sobbing, there was still that feeling of sadness," Sundari added.

Sundari revealed that the Women's National Commission will provide psychological support to Paula to help restore her mental condition. According to her, psychological wounds from violence are not easily healed, even after the incident has passed.

"Even though it has passed, we know that while the physical marks may have disappeared, such as bruises or others, the psychological effects usually still linger if not cared for, repaired, or treated," she explained.
