The legal team of Paula Verhoeven revealed allegations of the forms of violence experienced by their client during her marriage to Baim Wong. This was conveyed after they reported the case to the National Commission on Violence Against Women (Komnas Perempuan) on Wednesday (30/4/2025) afternoon.

Paula was present at the Komnas Perempuan office but did not make a statement due to throat issues. She was accompanied by her three lawyers, Alvon Kurnia Palma, Siti Aminah, and Ainul Yaqin.

"Yes, the National Commission on Violence Against Women, represented by the three commissioners, has received the report of gender-based violence against women experienced by Mrs. Paula as a wife," said Siti Aminah.

The report submitted concerns domestic violence in various forms, which has not been widely known to the public. The legal counsel emphasized that the report is accompanied by evidence and expert testimony.

"Yes, the allegations of violence include physical violence, psychological violence, sexual violence, and economic violence," emphasized Siti Aminah.

Paula's legal team stated that evidence has been collected systematically and most of it has been submitted in the divorce proceedings at the South Jakarta Religious Court.

"Yes, we have also presented evidence in the form of CCTV footage and statements from digital forensics experts who assessed the CCTV recordings showing physical violence," explained Siti.

In addition to recorded evidence, they also included a chronology of events and other relevant documents. They hope that the National Commission on Violence Against Women can provide protection and legal reinforcement for the report.

"Yes, all of this was conveyed to gain support, so that our client, in this case, Mrs. Paula, receives justice and recovery," said Alvon Kurnia Palma.

The legal representatives emphasized that all statements they made have been verified and are not based on assumptions. They consider it important to voice this issue so that no other women experience it in the future.
