Pinkan Mambo Sells Water Spinach and Respect Flavored Donuts for 200 Thousand

It wouldn't be Pinkan Mambo if she didn't do things that are beyond public reason. In addition to busking on the streets, Pinkan has also ventured into the culinary world by pricing her products at fantastic and unreasonable prices for some people.

How could it not be, Pinkan dares to sell water spinach and her homemade donuts for hundreds of thousands to millions of rupiah. She claims that the products she sells have high philosophical value and a very special taste.

"Yes, we indeed have to, not that we have to, we must dare to be different from others. That's why my donut is priced at Rp200 thousand, my water spinach at Rp200, and my donut at Rp2 million because it's really different, Miss, the donut. The donut has a story and it's really delicious, a respect-flavored donut," said Pinkan Mambo when met in the Tendean area, South Jakarta, on Monday (4/6/2026).

Pinkan realizes that many people will consider her strange with that pricing strategy. However, she feels she has the same mindset as world figures who are often seen as strange due to their innovation and thinking.

"This is like Elon Musk, Bill Gates, their thinking is also strange, the creator of electricity is also a strange person. They are all strange, right? Well, I don’t, I don’t think in a strange way, but I really don’t know why maybe I was meant to be strange by God," she said seriously.

Although the prices are sky-high, Pinkan remains serious about managing her business. She even revealed that the capital she spends on daily raw materials reaches a quite large amount, especially for flour.

"Not to mention my donut business, how much flour do I need? At least a million rupiah a day for flour. If not, where would the money come from? Confusing. And well, we shouldn't think too much about it, that's why we need to open our mindset that the real mindset is that we shouldn't be ashamed," she said.

She reinvests the money from her sales to meet household needs. Pinkan hopes that this business can become a stable source of income so that she doesn't have to keep renting a house with her children.

"I still owe my friends for the house so that we all don't have to rent. I'm not renting either, Michelle and Rezel aren't renting either. So I'm thinking, should I stop busking on the street? But if I stop busking, the little ones need money," she concluded.
