Portrait of Alika Islamadina Losing Her Beloved Grandmother, Memories from Kindergarten to Having Children Still Linger

The 30-year-old singer fondly remembers how active her grandmother was even as she approached her eighties. According to Alika, her grandmother's zest for life is one of the things she will always remember. "Grandma was really someone who couldn't sit still, like suddenly going to the market by herself, going to the mall by herself," she said.

In addition to being known for being active, Atit also had a noble habit that never changed until the end of her life. Alika mentioned that her grandmother loved to share and help others without looking at their background."She really loved sharing with others and was very fond of helping people. That's the figure I always remember," she said.

Alika feels fortunate to have had a grandmother like Atit, especially since throughout her life, her grandmother was always present in various phases of her life. She referred to Atit as a figure who provided guidance and support since the beginning of her career.

"Enin is a figure who provides guidance and has continuously supported me from my career until now that I have children. The memories are there; she used to accompany me when I sang back then, a memorable experience," Alika explained.

The presence of Atit is even felt by the next generation, as Alika's child had the chance to experience moments with their great-grandparent. Those moments became precious memories that they will always cherish."I am the first grandchild, and I have so many memories from kindergarten until I grew up, from being little to having a child," they reminisced.

Various sweet memories such as traveling, shopping, and accompanying Alika while performing on stage are part of their journey together. Those memories have now transformed into prayers and hopes that their grandmother finds the best place by God's side.

"So I am happy that my child can feel that they once had a great-grandparent. There are so many memories, starting from traveling together, then performing together, shopping together, that's it," said Alika.

In addition to leaving memories, Atit also bequeathed life lessons that Alika will always hold onto. The values of kindness and social concern have been taught by her grandmother for a long time."She always said that we should always help those in need, that's how it is," said the singer of "Just Wanna Say."

Now Alika can only send prayers for her beloved grandmother, hoping that all the goodness she planted during her lifetime becomes a source of reward. She also asks for prayers from her friends so that her family is given strength.
