When she first learned about her mother's condition, Chika felt very devastated. She tried to encourage her mother even though the initial response she received was very minimal.
Chika expressed her regret for previously not communicating intensively with her mother. Now, she hopes her mother can speak again so she can give advice like before.
"I told mom, 'Mom, you had a stroke, fight it, mom, take the medicine to thin the blockage', 'Mom, forgive Chika, okay,'" said Chika Jessica in the FYP program viewed on the TRANS7 OFFICIAL YouTube channel, Tuesday (1/4/2025).
"Mom didn't respond, just stayed silent, but maybe mom understood what Chika meant, I apologized at that time, I had never been that intense with mom, sometimes you feel shy, right," she continued.
Chika has a worry that if her mother can't speak again, it means there will be no advice given to her. Â "I want mom to at least be able to talk again," concluded the 36-year-old artist.
Chika Jessica continues to encourage her mother to communicate. She hopes to see some visible progress.
"We haven't talked yet, but I keep inviting mom to talk, so it seems like, 'Mom, please get me a tissue', mom understands, 'Mom, try calling Chika', at first it was just 'yeah, come on', but eventually 'Chika' can already do it," she explained.
