Portrait of God Bless Ready to Hold a 50th Anniversary Concert on Heroes' Day, Nicky Astria - Kaka Slank Will Be Involved

Achmad Albar, the founder and vocalist of God Bless, said he is currently preparing everything for the concert. One of them is through intensive training that has been going on for the past two months.

"Yes, we have been preparing enough, meaning since 1-2 months ago we started. We have been starting since one to two months ago. And hopefully everything can go well," said Achmad Albar in a press conference at Century Park Hotel in Senayan, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (25/10/2023).  

The band, which was established on May 5, 2973, will certainly perform at their best in the concert. With a band age of half a century, but the personnel who are over 60 years old will perform with the spirit as if God Bless has just formed. 

"We will perform with a youthful spirit," said Achmad Albar firmly.  

In addition, God Bless will collaborate with several Indonesian musicians such as Padi Reborn, Anggun, Nicky Astria, Kaka Slank, KotaK Band, and Eet Sjahranie in their performance.

Tohpati will be the orchestra accompanist. Tohpati mentioned that there will be some changes in the arrangement of the songs in this God Bless concert.

"There will definitely be changes in the arrangement. Later on, Mas Kaka or Nicky Astria will have a slightly different treatment, but the essence is that I arrange it without disturbing the sacredness of the song," said Tohpati.

Kaka Slank, who initially planned to watch the concert of the legendary band, did not expect to be involved. Moreover, he has been a fan of God Bless' works for a long time.

"The greatness of God Bless, people are still flocking to watch their concert. Many artists who have been on stage for a long time are already tired, but God Bless until now, when they perform, their appearance is still mesmerizing," said Kaka Slank.

In the upcoming 50th Anniversary concert, God Bless will also present stage design, visual effects, and lighting by Elang Production. The concert is promoted by Northstar Entertainment, and the show management is handled by Megapro Communications.

The concert tickets will be divided into 4 categories: Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Festival. Ticket prices range from Rp 500,000 to Rp 2,500,000 and can be obtained through Loket.com.
