In the continuation hearing of the alleged extortion and money laundering (TPPU) case involving Nikita Mirzani on Thursday (28/8/2025) at the South Jakarta District Court, the atmosphere in the courtroom became tense. In this session, the Public Prosecutor presented an expert witness on the ITE Law named Anindito to provide testimony.
However, instead of receiving clear answers, Anindito's testimony made Nikita frustrated as it was considered to be unclear and meandering.
The witness often answered with phrases like "I don't know" or "I don't understand." This testimony ultimately made Nikita Mirzani cry.
Bowing her head and covering her face in embarrassment, Nikita could not hold back her tears as she protested in front of the panel of judges.
With a trembling voice, Nikita questioned the basis of Anindito's analysis found in the case files.
"Can the expert explain what the basis of this thick BAP is? You have been asked many times and you don't know, you can't answer. So what does your analysis mean?" Nikita Mirzani pressed with a trembling voice.
Seeing the situation, Chief Judge Khairul Soleh tried to calm the proceedings. He reminded Nikita to formulate questions more focused, so that the expert witness could answer according to their capacity.
The judge also emphasized that the expert witness's testimony must be placed in its proper context, so that the trial remains orderly.
