Portrait of Sarwendah Reveals the Chronology of Her Beloved Father's Passing, Starting from Complaints of Stomach Pain

Sad news comes from the family of Sarwendah. Her beloved father, Hendrik Lo, breathed his last after undergoing intensive care at the hospital on Saturday (19/7/2025). Sarwendah bravely tried to recount the chronology of her father's departure. She mentioned that everything happened so quickly and unexpectedly. According to her, it all started with complaints of sudden stomach pain experienced by the deceased.

"There was nothing wrong, Dad suddenly said that his stomach hurt," Sarwendah revealed when met at the Grand Heaven funeral home, Pluit, North Jakarta, on Saturday (19/7/2025).

Seeing this condition, the family immediately took her father to the doctor for medical attention. After further examination, several serious health issues were found. Sarwendah recounted that the doctor recommended an endoscopy, which then revealed complications.

"So we went to the doctor. Then to the doctor, they checked and said there was something, I don't know if it was thickening or what. It turned out that an endoscopy was needed, and there were complications," she explained.

Sarwendah's father was hospitalized for several days before he eventually passed away. When asked about the duration of his treatment, Sarwendah tried to recall the first day her father was admitted to the hospital. She said her father was treated for about five days. "He was admitted on what day? Wednesday or Thursday night, I think. Five days, it seems like Wednesday. It happened so fast," she said.

The departure of her father left a deep sorrow and canceled several plans, including Sarwendah's work. This mother of three was supposed to have a work schedule in Korea that had been prepared for a long time. With a heavy heart, she canceled all her agendas to focus on her family. "Actually, I had work in Korea today as well. But this morning we canceled everything," she said.

Sarwendah feels grateful because all parties involved in her work can understand the situation she is facing. She knows that this disaster is something that no one ever wanted. For her, the support from colleagues and business partners is very meaningful in this atmosphere of mourning. "Fortunately, all my colleagues understand, and the brand understands too. Because this incident is not something we wanted," she said.

The deceased took his last breath in the morning on a date that is unique according to the family's calculations. Sarwendah mentioned that her father passed away exactly at a time and date that holds special meaning for their family. Interestingly, the time of his departure is the same as his future birthday. "At 08:18 in the morning. Coincidentally, it is also the date and month of Yeye's birthday," said Sarwendah.

Coincidentally, the process of transferring the body from the hospital to the funeral home was also done at the same time. The family believes this is part of Feng Shui calculations to ensure everything goes smoothly. Sarwendah explained why that time was chosen. "That's why this morning when the coffin was brought in, when I asked about Feng Shui, it was also allowed at 08:18," she concluded.
