Sad news envelops the family of Sarwendah Tan. Her beloved father, Hendrik Lo, passed away on Saturday (19/7/2025). The departure of her father has left deep sorrow for Sarwendah and her extended family.
The atmosphere of grief was palpable at the Grand Heaven funeral home, Pluit, West Jakarta, where Hendrik Lo's body was laid to rest on Saturday (19/7/2025). One by one, relatives and friends came to offer moral support and pay their last respects to the bereaved family. Here are the details.
Among the mourners present was presenter Melaney Ricardo, who came to provide strength to her friend, Sarwendah. As a friend, the presenter has her own memories of the deceased.
"A very kind person, cheerful every time I met him. Even though we didn't meet often, he was always friendly," reminisced Melaney Ricardo at the Grand Heaven funeral home, Pluit, West Jakarta, Saturday (19/7/2025).
Not only remembering the goodness of the deceased, this mother of one also offered sincere prayers for the deceased and the family left behind. She hopes that the grieving family, especially Sarwendah, is given strength in facing this trial.
"May he be placed in the best place for the deceased, may God grant strength," she said.
Regarding the cause of the deceased's passing, Melaney was reluctant to comment much. She chose to respect the family's privacy and fully leave it to the family to provide an explanation. "Let it be just with the family," she said briefly.
Melaney also provided an insight into Sarwendah's condition, who appeared to be very grieving over the loss of her beloved father. According to her observation, the deep sadness was very evident in Sarwendah.
"Yeah, sad. If Wendy (Sarwendah's sister) is stronger, if Sarwendah is more... that's it," she said.
