After the water pouring ceremony for Luna Maya was completed, it was Maxime Bouttier's turn to undergo the water pouring ceremony. Like Luna, Maxime began his ceremony with a gesture of respect, followed by the water pouring by family members.
At this ceremony, Maxime's father, Patrick Bouttier, was present along with family. The late mother was represented by Maxime's aunt, who attended with her husband and children.
Maxime Bouttier performed a gesture of respect to his father, Patrick Bouttier, before marrying Luna Maya. Wearing a Javanese traditional outfit, Maxime knelt before his father and asked for blessings in English and French.
The prayer that Maxime recited during the gesture of respect was the same as the prayer spoken by Luna. Then, his father gave a message to Maxime, which was conveyed in French.
Like Luna, Maxime hopes to have a happy family and also to have pious descendants. After that, he washed his father's feet and kissed both of his father's feet.
Maxime's father gave his blessing to his son during the ritual. Throughout the ceremony, Maxime and his father often exchanged smiles.
Then Maxime and his family continued with the water pouring ceremony. The water was taken from 7 sources and sprinkled with 7 types of flowers. Maxime's aunt was present to represent his late mother who has passed away.
The first pouring was done by Patrick. Although he does not have Javanese blood, Patrick carried out the entire ceremony well.
Guided by the wedding officiant, Patrick poured water from a jug and then broke it. Maxime then distributed the water flowers to the guests who hoped to marry soon.
After the water blessing, Maxime left the venue accompanied by his father and also his uncle. The aura of the bride truly shines and is happy.
